The Academy of Art University gallery was buzzing as numerous guests perused through the fashion photos hanging and leaning against the walls for the opening night of Styling: Dressing the Fashion Image.

The photographs all feature the hard work of photographers, designers, and the stylists who dressed models not just to the nines but to the elevens. Stylist Erin Frederick had a set of images with a mysterious model who had a “1920s gypsy” look. While fellow student, Miguel Martinez was inspired by an east coast ivy league style.

Jay O’Dell from Ford Models said that the exhibit is “like a whole story, not just twenty different images. The city needs more (shows) like this.” Miko Laube from herstoknow.com, thought that it was “beautiful work that could really be seen in a layout.”

Despite the small space, size did not appear to be an issue as dozens of people wandered through the rooms talking and surveying the fantastic and fashionable work before them.
