Design Student Louie Greaves Becomes a Judge!
Louie Greaves, MFA Menswear Design student has been chosen to be part of the judging panel for the Snapshot Scholar photo contest.
Greaves (who will be showing his first menswear collection this September at Fashion Week) will use his eye for style to help choose a winner from the top 20 finalists of the contest. Students and alumni of UC Berkeley and Stanford University photos in the five week contest which allowed them to vote on each other’s photos. After five rounds of voting, the panel of judges will choose a winner from the final 20. The winner will get $5,000 and a $2,000 endowment for their favorite department at their school.
It’s kind of like American Idol but without the singing…or a record deal…actually, it’s not really like that show.
Nonetheless, congrats Louie!

I’ve seen Louie around 180 and not only is he a good designer but he is really nice! But also it’s great to actually see someone doing menswear. I hope to see his collection on the runway in New York.

I have seen some of Louie\’s designs and they are fabulous, a new trend in fashion, also very nice to know that they will finally have a menswear collection. Congratulations! Louie we are looking forward to seeing you there representing the Academy of Arts.
I have seen Louie’s designs in 944 maganize and I have to say he is on his way of becoming the next Marc Jacobs.

I kept reviewing the photos from NYFW and I applaude all of the young designers and I must say I was very impressed with mens wear and I congratulate Louie LLewellyn on his Knit wear and woven designs they were marvelous.
Louie is so talented. He is defintely an asset to the fashion industry. Congratulations!!!!
