Today’s “Monday Morning Photo” pays tribute to one of fashion’s most iconic influencers: Coco Chanel. The French designer was born over a century ago today in 1883, and her namesake fashion house continuous to influence contemporary couturiers. A prolific figure in the history of fashion, Chanel remains credited with creating the new standard of feminine chic with her casual-luxe aesthetic.
The designer is shown above, stitching a model in to one of her signature tweed suits. Our own BFA and MFA Fashion Design students, are working furiously towards the fittings for their own Spring 2014 Collections that will show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York in just three weeks! Stay tuned to Fashion School Daily for upcoming coverage as we get closer to the show!
