Fashion Design Alumna Jessie Liu Presented A Visual Tech Demo At Apple Union Square

The Fashion Incubator San Francisco joined The Big Draw Festival to promote visual literacy throughout October, in which local fashion designers combine visual technology with fashion development using live demonstrations. Fashion designer Jessie Liu, of Jessie Liu Collection was featured this month with conceptual activities at the Union Square Apple Store, utilizing the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil as tools that communicate her designs in a visually stimulating way.

On October 13th, for a glimpse into her fashion development process, Liu guided viewers in a demonstration inspired by the elements of the season. Her attention to detail, elegant approach and use of fabrics and graphic prints all contribute to the work Liu creates with her eponymous brand, Jessie Liu Collection; and the demonstration was an opportunity to play with fabric, sketches and patterns with the designer.

Additionally, Liu shared her journey from accountant to MFA fashion design student at the Academy of Art University to showing collections at New York Fashion Week, as well as an Arts Thread Prêt à Porter exhibition in Paris.
