Madonna is a Girl Gone Bad

Madonna, The Queen of Pop, has just released a new music video for her hotly anticipated single, Girl Gone Bad, and what a video it is. It takes us back to her erotica days (and, honestly, wasn’t that everyone’s favorite?), with lots of whips & chains, leather, and muscle. It even opens with a sultry, spoken intro – a tell-tale sign that there is some serious naughtiness to come. The black and white vid was shot by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Known in the fashion world simply as Mert and Marcus, the duo also shot her more colorful MDNA ablum cover, which we’ve been dying over.

We’ve never doubted Madonna’s supreme reign over the world of Pop, but if any of you have doubts, this will stomp them out in 10 seconds flat. Madge proves that she hasn’t forgotten the moves that leave you wanting more, and she can still handle a pack of writhing, muscle men like it ain’t no thang. Because - let’s be honest – Madonna always does it best when she does it bad.

Why don’t you… check out Lana Del Rey’s new music video!

In breaking music news: Lana Del Rey has just released the official video for her single “Blue Jeans”. And while some may still be on the fence about LDR, we can’t resist a good retro, black and white vid – especially when the song title refers to one of our favorite wardrobe staples. Even though Lana doesn’t don any denim – she’s sporting a Monroe-esque white, one-piece swimsuit – blue jeans do make a brief appearance on her tatted-up costar, the same love interest from “Born to Die”. And in case the soothing sounds have you feeling a little drowsy this Wednesday morning, there’s a surprise cameo by an alligator to keep you on your toes.

If you didn’t already love Alber Elbaz (who can resist that adorable man) – this will absolutely melt your heart. At a party celebrating his tenth anniversary with Lanvin, the designer shyly announced that he was going to sing “A song for the people I love, a song to all of these people from fashion that I adore, that helped me to realize my dream. I love you.” We’ll just pretend that we were one of those people, because we adore him! He sang a few lines of Que Será, Será before passing off the mic, and then walked around giving out hugs and kisses to his closest friends and supporters. Luckily, the team at Grazia filmed the whole thing so that we could share it with you. Here’s to another ten years!!

Karl Lagerfeld for Net-a-Porter

Karl Lagerfeld’s collection for Net-a-Porter, simply titled Karl, launched yesterday with pop-up stores and parties in Paris, New York, Sydney, Berlin and London. In an interview with Vogue’s Hamish Bowles, Lagerfeld explained that the collection was an expression of his style and taste – he designed clothes that he likes.

The collection of mostly black and white sleek separates flew off shelves yesterday, and several designs are already sold out online. The price-point is much more accessible than Chanel, but it will still set you back a few (average price for an item is around $250). Proving that the line really is all about Karl, he even interviewed himself in a promotional video.

Which items are you coveting? Tell us in the comments below!
