Backstage at Duckie Brown!

Some of the members from Beyond the Front Row, the School of Fashion’s student club, worked backstage at the Duckie Brown Spring/Summer ’12 show. The designers behind the line, Steven Cox and Daniel Silver, were guests of honor at the Academy of Art University’s Spring Graduation Fashion Show. One of our own students, Lisa Relth, was also an intern at Duckie over the summer. It was so much fun behind the scenes and the collection was amazing!

Beyond the Front Row Wants Your Clothes!

Academy of Art University’s fashion club Beyond the Front Row hosts a clothing drive to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco.

Here are the details:

WHEN: Now through Sunday, May 22nd

HOW: Just leave your donations in the bins – it’s so easy!

Spring cleaning? Donate clothing, shoes, and accessories to Beyond the Front Row’s clothing drive to benefit the community programs led by the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco.

Every day the St. Vincent de Paul Society feeds, clothes, shelters and helps over 1,000 men, women and children, serving more than 75,000 individuals a year.

Please note: the donation of men’s shoes and/or clothing is especially needed.

Patrick has appeared in numerous publications including the books: “The Style Makers”, “American Fashion Menswear”, and most recently “Four Famous Dandies”. Patrick is a strong supporter of the University’s show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and always has a front row seat! Jim Howard, illustrator of “Four Famous Dandies” paper doll book will also participate.

Donation Drive Benefiting Fashion Students Affected by the Hyde Street Fire
Hosted by Beyond the Front Row

Beyond the Front Row is collecting donations for the fashion students whose apartment and belongings were destroyed in the recent Hyde Street fire. A list of school and sewing supplies, as well as a list of suggested stores can be found after the jump. Used and new materials are welcome, as are gift cards/certificates. Donations of clothing and shoes, used or new, are also welcome. Donations can be dropped off in office #700 or #703. Beyond the Front Row Helps with San Francisco Style

San Francisco Style 2010 is lining up a series of fashion events — and the members of Beyond the Front Row are lending a hand. On Nov. 18 (that’s tonight), SF Style will showcase up and coming designer brands and boutiques. The SF Style Bazaar will be held in the SPUR Center, 654 Mission Street and will incorporate a local designer trunk show, an exhibit, and an eco fashion show.

What: SPUR, Yerba Buena Community Benefit District, and First Lady Jennifer Siebel Newsom gets fashion fans ready for November’s SF Style POP up store Event. The POP-up Store is designed to celebrate SF fashion by hosting emerging designers that range from urban hip to couture during SF Style’s 2010 citywide event with a bang. There is a $6 suggested donation at the door.
