A few weeks ago we shared the good news that the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner Altuzarra, and runners-up Pamela Love and Creatures of the Wind would all be creating capsule collections in partnership with J. Crew, and now we have photos! The first collection to hit stores will be Altuzarra, available on Wednesday, April 23rd. It includes Bardot-inspired striped sweaters, sexy pencil skirts, and a pair of amazing espadrilles. If you’re anxious to get your hands on these pieces, you can pre-order by phone or online starting Thursday.

Pamela Love, whose jewelry line is one of our faves, actually designed clothes instead of jewelry for the collab – the perfect boyfriend jeans, shrunken denim jacket, and a belt to tie it all together – which will be on shelves May 14th. The final collection from Creatures of the Wind includes a geometric twinset, floral summer dress, and patchwork oxfords which you can scoop up on June 11th.

Over the past few years it has become a given that CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Winners will collaborate with mass market retailers, and we’re so excited that this year’s winner, Joseph Altuzarra, will release a capsule collection for J. Crew! There has been speculation in recent months, but Altuzarra confirmed suspicions when he told Fashionista that the designs he created with the J. Crew team “will be coming out in a few weeks.”

“It was a really interesting project because it was a conflation of their language – or of their world – [and] of our world and putting it together,” the young designer said.

Diet Coke! Yes, you heard right – Jean Paul Gaultier has been tapped to lend his creative touch to the European division of Diet Coke (or Coke Light, as it is called there). He will design limited edition bottles and cans for the beverage, as Karl Lagerfeld had done previously. “The bottles have the shape of a woman’s body, so it was great fun to dress them,” Gaultier told Women’s Wear Daily. To kick off the collaboration, the designer starred in a series of three short films for the brand – as a therapist, journalist, and a private detective solving the wardrobe dilemmas of a puppet. The first limited edition bevvies will hit European shelves next month – and this is probably the first and only time we’ll say this about a soft drink – but we can’t wait to see what their wearing!

One of the most highly anticipated collections is almost here – Marni for H&M is set to hit shelves this Thursday, March 8th! The collaboration features some seriously amazing prints and stellar accessories, all beautifully executed with Marni’s signature quirky charm. More collaboration photos folks!! These hail from the Marni for H&M collection, which will hit stores on March 8, 2012. The thoughtful designer created a special T-shirt to raise funds for the Red Cross in Japan to help with its earthquake relief work. Twenty-five percent of sales from the unisex tee will be donated to the cause. It features a child’s hand-drawn image – charming and optimistic. Let the countdown continue – only 63 more days!

The first few pieces from Jason Wu’s capsule collection for Target have been released – and we have to say they definitely have us excited! The pieces are signature Wu, flirty and feminine, and also take direct inspiration from French New Wave films and actress Jean Seberg – what Wu calls “gamine chic.”

“My goal was not to duplicate anything from my main collection,” the designer explained. “Instead, I designed completely new clothes and accessories that reflect my taste and have a voice of their own.”

The collection will hit stores February 5 – and let’s hope that Target learned their lesson from the Missoni debacle!
