Why don’t you… check out Lana Del Rey’s new music video!

In breaking music news: Lana Del Rey has just released the official video for her single “Blue Jeans”. And while some may still be on the fence about LDR, we can’t resist a good retro, black and white vid – especially when the song title refers to one of our favorite wardrobe staples. Even though Lana doesn’t don any denim – she’s sporting a Monroe-esque white, one-piece swimsuit – blue jeans do make a brief appearance on her tatted-up costar, the same love interest from “Born to Die”. And in case the soothing sounds have you feeling a little drowsy this Wednesday morning, there’s a surprise cameo by an alligator to keep you on your toes.

London Fashion Week Fall 2012 – Runway Rundown

It happens every year – fashion weeks come and go in a flash – and we’re left with our heads swirling thinking about all the amazing things we can’t wait to see next season. London Fashion Week came to a close last night, and while the fashionable crowd in London partied it up at Le Baron, we took some time to roundup our favorite looks from the fabulous designers across the pond.

What were your favorite looks from London? Tell us in the comments below!

This season, Christopher Bailey turned out more of what we know and love from Burberry – terrific outerwear with a twist. The collection was grounded in an earthy pallette of khakis, yellows, and browns, and we loved the floral prints. We were particularly taken with the men’s wear, classic cuts with a downtown edge, particularly in the accessories department. Studded gloves? Yes.

Roksanda Illincic has made sure that color-blocking will stick around – at least for Fall 2012. Her collection came in a variety of shades of cranberry, claret, and dahlia, punctuated with bright yellow shoes. Even the fur partook in the color-blocking party, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The lighter looks that closed the collection were particularly striking – we always love a good winter white.

Last Thursday night, the streets of the Haight Ashbury District were filled with anticipation and excitement as devoted fans and music lovers awaited the arrival of the newest cool-kid on the block, Lana Del Rey. The New York native was there to sing some of her popular songs from her new album, Born to Die, at Amoeba Records. Del Rey has gained a cult following – and it seemed like they all turned up for the show. Let’s just say crowded would be considered an understatement. Since we were all in a record store, fans and supporters were in between aisles of CDs and other products sold at Amoeba Records, all hoping to get a glimpse of the sultry songstress.

The show started at 6:00 PM, but savvy concert-goers arrived two hours early to reserve a decent spot in the store. It filled in quickly as the hour drew closer for Lana to take the stage. Wearing a white baby doll dress and hair in light curls, Lana Del Rey won the audience with her humble attitude and emotional singing. She made it clear to the adoring fans that she was grateful for their support and only sings for her fans. Accompanied by her pianist and guitarist, Lana sang her album hits like Born To Die, Without You, Million Dollar Man and Video Games.
