Yup. The group pictured in this week’s Who’s That? Contest was Missing Persons, the New Wave band that rolled with Frank Zappa.
Congrats to DiAndra Fry who was the only one to guess right! Actually, she was the only one who answered — but she knew the answers to the clues:
- Dale Bozzio (the lead singer) worked as a Playboy Bunny.
- Missing persons ads often appear on milk cartons.
- “Words” was one of the band’s songs.

For all of you who were wondering who this girl is — it’s Anouk Aimée. And thanks to the commenter who goes by KM, here’s what the glues mean:
She was in a movie about the last year of Modigliani’s life, entitled, “Les Amants de Montparnasse.” She also appeared in “8½” (half of 17). Is the M.C. for Monte Carlo in “Un homme et une femme”?
KM was correct on all but one: Anouk portrayed Jeanne Hébuterne, Modigliani’s wife in that movie and she was in Federico Fellini‘s 8 1/2 — but — the M.C. does not stand for Monte Carlo. It stands for Marion Cotillard, the actress who portrayed Luisa Contini in Nine a remake of 8 1/2. Cotillard’s character is a version of Luisa Anselmi, Anouk’s character in 8 1/2
Nonetheless — good job KM!

The gentleman that was pictured in this week’s Who’s That? Contest is Bob Guccione founder and publisher of the naughty adult mag, Penthouse.
We had a ton of people guess, but Julia was the only one who guessed correctly — so kudos to Julia!
Here is a breakdown of the clues I gave you:

Clue #3: Sci-Fi – Guccione also created a science fiction magazine called Omni.
And P.S. — Consider this a tiny sneak preview of the next issue of One Eighty magazine.

On Monday, we asked who this gal was:

This is indeed a pic of Harper Lee, Pulitzer Prize winning author of To Kill a Mockingbird. Seeing as though this month marks the 50th Anniversary of the book, I thought it would be appropriate to give her props.
And in case you’re interested, here are how the clues were connected:
Clue #1: Bullock – Actress Sandra Bullock played her in the movie Infamous
Clue #2: Peck – This is a nod to Gregory Peck, the actor who played the All-American hero Atticus Finch in the the 1962 movie adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird.
Clue #3: Blood…and it’s Cold — This is in reference to In Cold Blood, which was considered the original non-fiction novel that was written by Truman Capote, Harper Lee’s BFF.
Snaps to Jamie Meinecke and Ian Horn for answering so quickly!
